Olly waddles between the trees every morning doing what he calls "inspections" — which is really just poking each orange with one paw and nodding seriously. Has a favorite tree. Sleeps under it. Talks to it. Has named it. Won't tell you the name because that's between them. When the oranges are finally ripe he gets so excited his little legs can't keep up with his body and he just tumbles forward into the grass. Gets up. Shakes it off. Pretends it didn't happen. Goes right back to eating oranges with his whole face. Sticky paws. Round belly. The happiest landlord in the grove.
